WHAT IS OATH FILM?
OATH is a teen adventure film currently at the pilot stage.
This phase has been produced by a community made of lay people and a few professionals.
Imagine a combination of the following films and add the Catholic Faith.
- THE GOONIES
- HOME ALONE
- STRANGER THINGS
- RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
In the last two years, we created this pilot as well as a series of mini episodes and a story treatment.
In 2023, we want to move up to a short feature, a finalized script and a co-production with an established studio.

THE STORY
Max is happiest when he is in the bayou, paddling his kayak among the herons and turtles.
His mother, Sophie, is a faith-filled French woman. She raises her son according to her wedding vows.
But her husband has changed. Neals, a therapist, aspires to become a popular life-coach. He advocates self-improvement away from moral and faith.
So, Max’s attachment to the beliefs of his youth is fading. At school, his friends are lost in their screens. One day, Max snaps at his father and flees into the bayou outside the levee that protects the big city of New Orleans.
Max comes upon a shack where a strange mask dominates. That’s when two hunters seize him.
They have been looking for Max’s grandfather (Henri) who took to France the famous crown of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
In France, Henri has stopped communicating. Max rushes there to find him before the sorcerer Lachlan and his mute henchman reach him.

A FILM THAT FAMILIES NEED
Today, the situation is dire for many families. They do their best to raise their children in the faith only to see many of them lost to the world later through social media, films, or even schools.
But here comes OATH, a film that will be:
- 100% entertaining in the adventure genre, yet not one bit immoral.
- 100% catholic, yet not one bit preachy.
Oath will support parents by offering their children a cool story with appealing characters where faith and ethics are lived out by the heroes yet also challenged by the villains.
OATH IS A FILM WITH FAITH
Oath is in a film genre that has not been yet attempted. It is both a Christian film and an adventure film for the families.
It is not about a saint, or a book in the Bible. Although there is sainthood, there is a book of the Bible within this film.
Oath is a film where faith has a natural daily place, much like in the lives of millions of people any day on our planet. Except that in Oath, our teen goes through some colorful adventures.
The elements that are openly Christian in Oath are:
• The religious persecution in a family.
• The interior strugle between agnosticism and Christianism is strong at first within Max.
• The life of a monastery.
• Chanted Prayer of the Hours.
• The place of the Virgin Mary in the salvation of a young man.
• A moral code for teens.
• The chivalrous commitment of a teenager to his Lord and God Jesus-Christ.

As you know, in 2023 we want to reach the short feature level.
For this, we call on you, much like villages in Medieval Europe would call on their people to fund a beautiful painting in their church. Those people poor or rich became patrons of the arts in proportions of their means,. The paintings and statues they created by helping the artists would inspire millions of people for centuries to come. In this XXIst century, our one piece of Christian art is a film. It also has the potential to inspire millions. You could be a patron of the Christian arts in this XXIrst century.
